Welcome to the website for the newly formed Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish Family! On June 29, 2017, our parish family was canonically established by the merging of the previous Saint Bridget Parish, Epiphany Parish, and Saint Thomas Becket Parish. It is our hope that you will find within the pages of our website a great respect for the history of Catholicity here in the Town of Cheshire. We hope you will consider joining us as we begin this new chapter in Growing Together in Faith and in spreading the Gospel message here in Cheshire and beyond.
The Catholic faith came to our town in the mid 1800’s beginning with just a few members of the faith. The Faith continued to spread in town and today almost 4,000 families call Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish their spiritual home.
We strive to be a welcoming, joy-filled community of Christ that finds our meaning and purpose in the Eucharist. The Eucharist unites us together as one family of faith. It is the Eucharist that gives us our joy, our strength, and our purpose.
We believe in our call to spread the light of Christ. Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish is guided by the very fact that Christ is our Light. We desire to allow that Light of Christ to be seen in all that we do and in all that we are. Pope Francis continually reminds us of our call to be missionary disciples called to go out and offer our talents, creativity, wisdom, and experience in order to bring the message of God’s love to others.
We invite you to consider joining us on this journey of faith. Join us in becoming part of what we do and who we are. Join us as we seek to strengthen the faith of our members and others through educational programs, social outreach, spiritual enrichment, and many other various activities that make Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish a strong family of faith.
If you need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by phone or email. Thank you for visiting our site, and we hope you will be inspired to join us on this journey as we fulfill our call to be missionary disciples of the Lord!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
The Reverend Jeffrey V. Romans
