In today's gospel Mary went to visit Zechariah and Elizabeth in Judah. When Mary arrived and greeted Elizabeth, the infant leaped for joy in her womb. The mere sound of the voice of the mother of our Lord moved Elizbeth's child with abundant joy.
I can only imagine what my response to the sound of our savior's voice will be when I am graced with his glory. Until that glorious day, "I will not be discouraged or grow weak from fear. For I know that the Lord wins every victory and is always with us. He celebrates and sings because of us and he will refresh our life with his love." Zephaniah 3:16b-17
