It certainly has been a turbulent year for all of us – and now, more than ever, we need to strengthen our relationship with the Lord. In today’s reading from Isaiah, we are told “He will be gracious to you when you cry out, as soon as he hears he will answer you”. So our Lord is listening – my prayer for you during this Advent season is you find some quiet time each day to talk with the Lord. He is a very good listener.
In the Gospel from Matthew, we find Jesus sending out the apostles to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. So like the apostles from long ago, wouldn’t it be wonderful for us to reach out to someone who needs a kind word or two. Or maybe just listen to them as the Lord listens to us. Make that time to share your faith with someone in need this Advent season. Our faith is a wonderful gift – and it comes with no cost – share that faith with someone else!
Blessed are all who wait for the Lord – as we wait for His birth, take the time to reflect each day and reach out to a “lost sheep” and give them hope. Hope is Never Cancelled – Jesus Is Still Coming!
