Anointing of the Sick: Not Just for Last Rites

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick offers a powerful experience of the Lord’s healing touch – sometimes physically, always spiritually.  This Sacrament is not just reserved for those who are dying.  The bishops of the U.S. say that “there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. A careful judgment about the serious nature of the illness is sufficient.”  In other words if you are sick, ill or suffering in mind or body, come to this talk and anointing service and experience the healing power of Christ!

Divine Mercy Book Club

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

God’s key attribute throughout the Old and New Testaments is MERCY. By reading Scripture, pondering it, discussing it, and praying it, we will experience God’s compassion, grace and indwelling presence. In this bible study Stephen Binz in his book “Divine Mercy” opens us to the heart of Scripture – God’s Mercy. We hope that you can join us for six sessions from Tuesday, January 5 through February 9, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30 am in the Fr. Frisbie Hall, St. Thomas Becket Campus. Following COVID guidelines, we will be wearing masks and social distancing.

The book can be purchased through Amazon.

For more information call Sr. Patricia at 203-272-3531 Ext. 1312.

Until March 21st
