The New Day Seminar is a nine-week series that helps the newly bereaved with the tasks of grieving. Each session provides a place and time for individuals to share their grief story and to learn about the grieving process and its tasks for healing.
Listening to others gives the participant a perspective with which to begin healing. Sharing one’s experience, feeliings and pain is one step in becoming aware that you are not alone.
Facilitators: Trained facilitators will conduct the seminar. They are people who have experienced grief in their lives and are able to move with the group through the tasks of grief.
The Cost:The New Day Journal, used in the seminar, offers information and the opportunity for writing one’s thoughts, feelings and experiences. It is available at a cost of $10.00.
The Seminar Schedules: A 9-week bereavement seminar will begin on Thursday, February 22, 2018. The group will meet from 6:30-8:00 pm at Saint Bridget School Library. The seminar provides hope, healing and support for participants while they adapt to their loss. The group is guided by trained facilitators as participants journey from grief to healing. It is based on the belief that sharing and talking about one’s thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe situation with the support of others in similar situations, is one of the most helpful ways to move beyond the pain that is caused by the death of a loved one. Registration is necessary.
