Baptism incorporates us into Christ and forms us into God’s people. This first sacrament pardons all our sins, rescues us from the power of darkness, and brings us to the dignity of adopted children, a new creation through water and the Holy Spirit. Hence we are called and are indeed the children of God.

Baptisms for infants and young children at St. Bridget Church take place at the convenience of the family. Usually this is any Sunday following the 11:00 A.M. Mass. A baptismal preparatory class is required for parents or guardians before the baptism of their first child. This session is an opportunity to deepen their own understanding of the sacrament, consider responsibility as Christian parents or guardians, and be better prepared to enter into the celebration of the sacrament. These sessions occur once a month on Sundays after the 11:00 A.M. Mass.
