PARISH VISITING PROGRAM
Parish Visitors provide a caring and supportive presence to our parishioners who are homebound and to persons in local nursing homes. They are asked to visit their person weekly. Parish Visitors are trained for this important ministry and meet quarterly to give them and opportunity to develop community among themselves and to have input on important topics that will help them in the ministry. Coordinators and their Core Team Members provide ongoing support for the visitors, keeping in touch with them and being available for any concerns or questions.
PARISH HOSPITALITY PROGRAM
Led by the Parish Hospitality Committee volunteers greet and welcome parishioners at all the Sunday Masses. There is an initial meeting with the volunteers to give them information and guidelines about this important ministry. The Parish Hospitality Committee also provides outreach to newly registered parishioners by contacting them and personally welcoming them to the parish. Parish Groups are invited to host a monthly “Coffee And”, where they can have displays informing parishioners of their activities and work. At these monthly gatherings, new parishioners will be recognized in a special way.
